Companies are taking advantage of and profiting off those that are living in fear of COVID-19 and the Coronavirus. Kudos to Facebook, they are now expanding the ban to those that are seeking to profit off hand sanitizer, disinfectant wipes, and test kits.

Facebook isn’t the first platform to ban ads targeted towards face masks, hand sanitizer, and disinfectant wipes. eBay realized that there was “unfair pricing behavior” and put a stop to the unethical act.
Profiteering in a time of crisis is nothing new, and while you would hope that everyone would be able to unify for the greater good, unfortunately, history shows us that this will not be the case.
To limit the amount of profiting during a crisis, restrictions are a necessity.
